Ebadah is operated by EQ Enterprises Inc., a company based in Alberta, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how Ebadah collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services.

By using Ebadah, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate Ebadah and provide the app experience.

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and password. Your password is managed securely through our authentication provider.

App Usage and Activity Data

Ebadah may collect information related to your use of the app, including Salah tracking, Quran activity, Dhikr counts, Istighfar counts, token balance, tokens earned and spent, streaks, app settings and preferences, unlock multipliers, ibadah activity history, app interactions, and usage events.

This information is used to operate the app, show your progress, and improve the user experience.

Blocked Apps and Screen Time

Ebadah requires certain permissions to help you block selected apps and manage screen time.

On Android, the app may read installed apps locally so you can choose which apps to block. This information is used for app-blocking functionality and is not used to identify your location or contact other users.

On supported devices, Screen Time, Usage Access, Accessibility, and Background Activity permissions may be required for Ebadah to function properly.

Support Requests

If you contact us through the app for support, bug reports, or feature suggestions, we may collect your name, email address, and message.

We use this information to respond to your request and improve Ebadah.

Crash and Diagnostic Data

We may use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and diagnostic information, including device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and other diagnostic information.

This helps us identify bugs, improve stability, and fix technical issues. We do not use Firebase Analytics.

Information We Do Not Collect

Ebadah does not collect precise location, contacts, photos, camera access, microphone access, SMS or call logs, health or medical data, financial account information, or government identification numbers.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and manage your account, provide app functionality, track ibadah activity and progress, calculate tokens and screen time, save settings and preferences, improve app performance, fix bugs and technical issues, respond to support requests, maintain app security, and communicate important account or service updates.

Emails and Communications

We may send emails related to account verification, password resets, support responses, and important service updates.

If we send newsletters, marketing emails, or future announcements, you may unsubscribe from those emails at any time. You may still receive essential account-related emails.

Subscriptions and Payments

During beta, Ebadah may not charge users for premium features.

If subscriptions or paid features are offered in the future, payments will be processed through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Ebadah does not collect or store your credit card number, banking information, or payment credentials.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Ebadah, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting, Quran-related APIs and content providers for Quran text or audio where applicable, and Google Play and Apple services where required for app distribution and purchases.

These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide their services.

Data Storage and Security

Ebadah uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information.

User data may be stored using cloud infrastructure located in the United States. This means your information may be processed and stored outside of Canada.

Data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary to provide Ebadah, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Account Deletion

You can request to delete your account from within the app.

When you delete your account, your account is immediately disabled. Your personal information and associated account data are permanently deleted within 30 days. Some information may temporarily remain in encrypted backups before being securely overwritten as part of our normal backup retention process. Where required or permitted by law, we may retain limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance purposes.

Children’s Privacy

Ebadah is intended for users aged 13 years and older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising.

Religious Guidance Disclaimer

Ebadah is intended as a productivity and habit-building tool that encourages acts of worship. It is not intended to provide religious rulings, professional advice, or replace guidance from qualified scholars or professionals.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of Ebadah after any changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
